Considered the largest Gothic city gateway in all of Europe, the Serranos Towers were built at the end of the 14th century by Pere Balaguer. They were once the main entrance to the city of Valencia.

In the 16th century, the towers were turned into prisons for noblemen and knights.

Nowadays, they allow visitors to enjoy splendid views of the city and the river Turia.
