Royal Gardens

A public park, open until sunset

Also known today as Viveros (nursery or garden center), the Royal Gardens are a great place to relax and enjoy the views, as well as concerts in the Summer or during the Fallas celebrations.

Home of the museum

Nature all around

Adjacent to the old Turia riverbed park, these gardens owe their name to the royal palace, which used to be located there before being bombed during the Peninsular War, in 1810.

Nowadays, the park houses the city’s Museum of Natural Sciences and it also used to be the home of the city’s zoo, now reborn as the Bioparc.

Park life with the family

Great for children

Viveros are a great place for the whole family. Children (and adults) enjoy watching the ducks and birds, and when the sun is shining, it’s a beautiful place to spend the afternoon.

The gardens are also near the Turia Gardens, another great place to enjoy the sun and nature at its best.
