Valencian Museum of Enlightenment and Modernity

The MuVIM is located in the Valencian district of Ciutat Vella, minutes away from the city center.

Designed by renowned architect Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra from Seville, who received the CEOE Foundation National Award for its construction, it’s a good example of the city’s contemporary architecture.

What to see at the MuVIM

The Valencian Museum of Enlightenment and Modernity (now that’s a name) is one of the coolest museums to check out modern art exhibits, many of them related to the city of Valencia and Spain as a whole.

The building and the park

Architect Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra not only designed the building but also the park right in front of the museum, winner of the 2015 “The Plan” architecture award in the Public Space category.

The whole site is surrounded by other cultural spaces and features a cafeteria with a lovely terrace.
