46 important monuments of Valencia city have renewed their lighting with the aim of recovering their cultural, patrimonial, and architectural value.
Before, only 13 were lit up at night, so now it’s a total of 56 buildings located both in the city center and nearby neighborhoods that will feature lights to be discovered in a whole new way during the night. Also, from March 1st until October 31, 2019, from Sunday to Thursday, they will remain lit until 1 am, and from November 1st to February 28/29, until 12:30 am.
This intervention, which began last May with the renewal of the lighting of the City Council building, has cost the local government 70,000 euros.
The Puerta del Mar (Door to the Sea), the bell towers of Benifaraig and Massarrojos, in the northern part of the city, as well as the Parotet and the Church of the Tower in the south, are some of the newly illuminated buildings.
