Caro Hotel

A piece of history itself

Caro Hotel is a unique 5-star hotel housed in a 19th-century palace (the palace of the Marquis de Caro) in Valencia’s Old Town.

Its modern, minimalist design is the work of Francesc Rifé. The hotel also houses the Sucede restaurant (previously Alma del Temple) which serves traditional Mediterranean food with a modern twist.

The Virgin’s Square and the Cathedral are just a 5-minute walk away, but the hotel is a piece of history itself: parts of it date from up to 2000 years ago, including Gothic arches and part of the 13th-century Arabic city walls.

Gothic tiles

One of the hotel’s most unique features are the pieces of history scattered around it.

700-year old Gothic tiles welcome guests to the hotel, a treasure that was found almost by accident when Caro Hotel was being restored.
